We were already teaching tech skills before it was cool! With an established history of over 35 years in IT, back when computer science, coding and programming were not yet popular, we’re definitely at the forefront of innovation in IT education. Backed by EduTrust certification, we offer diploma and degree programmes covering eSports, Game Design, and Computer Science for both full-time and part-time students.

With an alumni count of more than 58,000 graduates thus far, we have a proven record of graduate success. Eighty percent of our graduates found employment within six months from graduation, and some of them have even gone on to work in dream tech firms like Amazon and IBM!

Programmes Offered

Diploma in Esports & Game Design
In partnership with the Singapore Cybersports and Online Gaming Association (SCOGA), this is a 8-month full time or 12-month part time course.

Diploma in Network and Computer Technology
This revamped curriculum includes a 6-month internship component designed to equip students with practical network & computing skills to meet the needs of the evolving IT industry.

Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computer Games and Animation (Top-up)
Awarded by Oxford Brookes University, this course provides a structured curriculum in programming and game design.

Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Network Computer (Top Up)
Awarded by Oxford Brookes University, this course provides a structured curriculum in computation, network systems, and network security, enabling graduates to stay up-to-date with rapidly changing technologies.

Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computer Science (Top Up)
Awarded by Oxford Brookes University, this course enables students to learn the fundamental principles of programming, culminating in a final year project that enable students to apply the skills they’ve learnt through the creation of a substantial software artefact.

International Diploma in Gaming and Animation Technology
This curriculum aims to equip students with the skills to develop their own digital games, as well as skills in imaging, sound, video and animation that will allow graduates to enter the advertising and marketing industries.

NCC Education Level 4 Diploma in Computing (RQF)
Awarded by NCC Education, a recognised qualifications-provider in the UK, this diploma is the equivalent to the first year of a computing degree in the UK system, enabling students to transfer to a university or pursue a career in computing directly.

NCC Education Level 4 Diploma in Business Information Technology (RQF)
Awarded by NCC Education, this diploma is the equivalent to the first year of a IT degree in the UK system, enabling students to understand and enter the IT and business industries or to further their education in Business IT.

IT Short Courses
Lasting a total of three months, our short courses are targeted at working professionals, students and NSFs looking to upgrade their skills in IT such as Website Development, Java, HTML, Game Design and AI Development.

Certificate in Foundation Skills
Lasting six months, this programme is designed to develop foundational skills in numeracy, technology and literacy, enabling students to further their education with an Informatics Academy diploma programme.

Diploma in Information Technology
This diploma aims to provide students with a sound, theoretical knowledge in Information Technology (IT) and practical skills in the management of hardware and software development. The student will also acquire programming languages skill such as C programming, database query language, Visual Basic.Net and Java programming language to allow student to be competent in application and web-site development as well as the configuration of network and server operating system in today complex business environment.

The Diploma in eSports and Game Design is one of our most popular programmes because we are the first school in Singapore and Southeast Asia to offer an eSports qualification. Students love the collaboration we have with the Singapore Cybersports and Online Gaming Association (SCOGA), which enables them to network with established competitive gamers and mentors. As eSports is a rapidly growing industry, graduates can feel assured to find a range of job opportunities including careers in social media management, eSports reporting, event/product management, games testing, team coaching, game design and more!

Students also love our Diploma in Network and Computer Technology because it includes a 6-month internship component which we recognise is an increasingly important component that equips young people with practical skills. Students like the fact that our diploma has obtained the support from SG Tech, Singapore’s premier infocomm industry association, as well as multiple tech companies like StartupJobs Asia, CT Business Solutions, ZEC Consulting, and Acclivis Technology and Solutions.

Working professionals, students and NSFs are attracted to the slew of IT short courses and our Diploma in IT that we have launched as part of our programme offerings. Students seeking a flexible learning time-line like the fact that our short courses are conducted once a week in a 3-hour lesson format, and include major IT skills such as Programming, Website Development, AI Development, and .NET.

Most Unique Programme

The Diploma in eSports and Game Design is one of our most unique programmes because it is extremely rare to find other institutions in Southeast Asia that offer an eSports-based qualification! For this programme, we’ve specially partnered with the Singapore Cybersports and Online Gaming Association (SCOGA) to ensure that our curriculum fully meets the needs of competitive gamers of the future. In this course, you’ll find industry support from leading eSports players like ESL, Riot Games and Twitch, access to workshops organised by SCOGA eSports academy, as well as a syllabus designed by eSports specialists. Through our course, you don’t just learn the theoretical skills in eSports, you actually can connect with and learn from the best.

Admissions Criteria & Procedures

Local students are required to complete a pre-admission counseling form & programme application form, as well as submit relevant educational certificates and transcripts and English placement test result (if applicable). In addition to the above documents, international students are required to apply for a student pass with the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority upon successful evaluation of their course application.

Eligibility criteria differ for each course. We are happy to accept both full-time and part-time students for all courses. Please email enquiry@informatics.edu.sg for more information.

We accept cohort intakes multiple times throughout the year, depending on the course offered. For Diploma and Advanced Diploma programmes, we require 3 to 7 working days to evaluate applications. For degree programmes, we require 7 to 14 working days for evaluation. Upon success evaluation, students will receive a letter of offer, an acceptance letter, and a letter of payment. Applicants must sign the Letter of Acceptance, Advisory Note and PEI-Student Contract before making any course fee payments.

All applicants are to note that an application fee of S$107 (non-refundable and non-transferable) must be made at the point of application.
