ESSEC Business School joins exclusive “triple crown” club

Last Updated on 12 July 2023

ESSEC Business School, a pioneer of business-related learning since 1907, has earned its Association of MBAs (AMBA) accreditation and joins a group of the world’s leading, international business schools to hold the “triple crown”. AMBA evaluated and accredited three of ESSEC’s programmes: the Global MBA; the Executive MBA; and the MSc in Management.

In Singapore, only three business schools (Aalto EE, INSEAD, and now ESSEC), hold the “triple crown” – the AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS accreditations.

Created in 1967, AMBA is the leading authority on postgraduate management education. AMBA accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement in postgraduate business education and is earned only by the best programmes. It provides a global standard for MBA, DBA and Master’s programmes and has only awarded the accreditation to the top 2 percent of business schools in over 70 countries.

Back in 1997, ESSEC was the first school outside of North America to be accredited by AACSB International and in 2003 the school obtained its EQUIS accreditation. This year, ESSEC opened a new campus in Rabat, Morocco, further allowing students and professors to study and understand the economic forces at work in the different regions of the world.
