Institution Facts

TMC Academy has two campuses with a total floor area of more than 74,000 sq ft. The two campuses at Bishan and City are easily accessible and conveniently located near to the MRT Stations. Both campuses have a total of 64 rooms which consists of classrooms, study rooms, training rooms and computer rooms.

We have a pool of over 40 full-time academic staff supported by a large pool of part-time academic staff from the industry to guide our students in gaining well-balanced knowledge and perspectives in the course of their studies. We adopt a transparent fee structure and the fee components are fully made known to the students at the point of registration.

Bishan Campus
The main campus offers students a refreshing environment and a wide range of learning and sports facilities such as lecture theatres, a seminar room, an open-space study area, a multi-purpose sports court, a student lounge, a gymnasium and a cafeteria. The campus is conveniently located within walking distance to both the Marymount and Bishan MRT stations.

City Campus
The City Campus is within close proximity to Dhoby Ghaut, Bugis, Bras Basah and Little India MRT Stations. The three-storey building houses students of Psychology, University of London International Programme Law Programmes and all other degree programmes. Facilities include classrooms, lecture theatre, meeting rooms, computer classroom, a library, student lounge, moot court and two psychology counselling training rooms.

eCampus
TMC eCampus is an e-learning portal powered by Moodle. This is a user-friendly e-learning platform which supplements the face-to-face learning environment. Students are able to access the platform at any time and any place that has an internet connection. Students are able to download lecture slides, supplementary notes, assignment papers, exercises; attempt online assessments; interact with lecturers and students in online discussion room.

Mass Communication Studio
The Mass Communication Studio at Bishan Campus provides a mock-up environment for students to learn about narrative and documentary film production. The students work in teams with the equipment available to produce short films or documentaries.

As a mock-up studio, the basic facilities such as prosumer camera, handycam, boom-mike, redhead lights, chroma-screen – allow the students to acquire the necessary hand-on experience after attending theory lessons on film and documentary. The students will have a better understanding and appreciation of the practical processes involved in film and documentary making – from idea conceptionalisation, planning and scripting, shooting, editing as well as the distribution and promotion of narrative or documentary film.

Entry Requirements

The Course Entry Requirement is a set of primarily academic standards a student must attain before he/she is permitted to enroll in the course concerned. The requirement is determined by our academic partners (university partners or other higher education institutions) and ratified by our standards governing bodies (Academic Board or any other relevant quality assurance bodies).

Before Application

During Application

Local Students:

  • Fill in the Application Form
  • Submit supporting documents
  • Payment of Application Fee

International Students:

  • Fill in the Application Form
  • Application for Student Pass
  • Submit supporting documents (for course and student pass application)
  • Payment of Application Fee
  • International Students without proof of English proficiency (IELTS or TOEFL) are to sit for a TMC English Placement Test.

After Application

Local Students:

  • Check Application Status
  • Accept Offer by signing the acceptance portion in the Letter of Offer.
  • Sign Student Contract and make course fee payments.
  • Prepare for School Life
  • Attend Orientation

International Students:

  • Check Application Status
  • Accept Offer by signing the acceptance portion in the Letter of Offer.
  • Arrange Accommodation & Airport Pickup
  • Sign Student Contract and make course fee payments (after the student pass application is approved)
  • Prepare for School Life
  • Attend Orientation
  • Trip to ICA and medical check-up will be arranged
